No. 6 la plage (the beach)
Of course when you live in a place renowned for its natural untouched beauty you have to show visitors the many beaches all within a short drive of our house. Even in the height of summer when our region is said to more than double due to tourists I can find any number of beaches where I am either the only person or maybe one of a few people. The final shot here is of our Navy base- what a location! Naval officers and their families can live on base with the wildlife and beaches at their finger tips. The photos are of different beaches on different days and times of day. Hopefully it gives you a small snapshot of where I live. Some years at Christmas we get up early and go to our favourite beach with mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, yogurt and croissants with jam for a special start to Christamas day. Then we swim and go home get cleaned up and start the cooking for the more traditional style feast with family and extended family. xx Corrina.

No 5: Retail therapy
My favourite French Shop in Milton
Beautiful location
No 5- Would love to take the visiting in-laws to a little village called Milton. It is about a 30min drive from my house and has a gorgeous French inspired shop, vintage shop, homewares, toys, antiques, bakeries, cafes ..... lots to do and see and a rural outlook. We love it down here. Drive another 10mins and your at some pretty nice beaches too. There are some awesome mountains to climb as well and a faboulous winery called Cupits that is French inspired- the building is very old stone and the property and resturant just gorgeous mmmm wish I were there right now xx Corrina.

No 4- fruit and nut biscotti
What to do with uk in-laws No 4- fruit and nut biscotti. Now as per the last post we have a great deck out the back. You reach it via our dining room which has antique french doors leading out. The garden and birds always seem to beckon. I think we'll have to enjoy some biscotti and coffee on the back deck for afternoon tea! Yum xx Corrina.

No 3-le jardin
What to show the in-laws from the uk. No 3- le jardin
My garden is fragrant and flowerful, I love it at this time of year. It needs some tenderloving care but it still pays me in lavender and roses and birdlife. The front is rambling and cottage style, the back has a series of garden rooms, secret garden, fruit trees, potager, chookyard... We love sitting on the back deck for alfresco eating while visited by black cocatoos, rosellas, bowerbirds, finches... and the best is brekky on the deck- stop and breathe and plan the rest of the day. Perhaps which beach to go to or a trip to some boutiques for retail therapy and a cappuccino. Yep, its a must we have to share our space here- here is where we are, how we live, what we enjoy, kids laughing, birds singing, chooks running around xx Corrina.

What to show the in-laws No 2
Whales spend most of the next few months in Jervis Bay, feeding their babies and putting on a spectacular show for locals and tourists. This image was taken a couple of years ago on a very choppy sea with unpredictable whales it was hard to get a great shot but it gives you a little idea. Whale and dolphin watch cruises run regularly and you are sure to see some gorgeous wildlife and natural beauty while out on the ocean. This shot is one of a baby whale "breaching" we were given a lovely display of mother and babies at play! We are very blessed to live here. xx Corrina.

10 things to show my in-laws visiting from UK
Hi all, here's my photo challenge- to photograph 10 things/places from my beautiful area to show my brother and sister-inlaw when they visit next month. They haven't been here to our place for 4.5 years and a lot has changed around our house and garden. We would like to do some things we've never done with them in the past so I have been racking my brain and I thought I would try to document some of the things and post them over the next few weeks. Here is no.1 our local marche (market) this is just a taste of what is on offer. It has a real country village atmosphere we love the organic stall and the coffees are pretty good too! Enjoy xx Corrina.
